On Friday 14th October 2016, worshippers and staff past and present came together to celebrate a special milestone – the 50th anniversary, to the day, of the dedication of the Church of the Resurrection.
The ‘Church of the Res’ is the chapel which serves as the worship space at the heart of today’s chaplaincy. Before its opening in 1966, Anglican students held services in a former Catholic Apostolic church building several streets away. Today, the Church is host to hundreds who come through its doors every week, including the ‘Sunday morning’ church family who are the consistent foundation of our otherwise always-transient community.
